Get Active!
Ever feel this stirring sensation of emotions, actions, feelings, you don’t even know what inside of you when stressed? I’m a firm believer that when we have mixed emotions, feeling stressed, or chaos in our lives it causes our body’s energy to be out of place. I describe this sensations as “I don’t know what to do with myself”.
I feel a strong urge to expel this sensation, I find it extremely uncomfortable. One perfect way to do this is through; (you guessed) Exercising! Getting active or performing an exercise routine is scientifically proven to lower stress! According to the Mayo Clinic: physical activity can boost your endorphins (the feel good emotions). It can also help you focus on one simple task. Whatever exercise you’re performing you can let go of whatever worry you were focusing on. It’s also “Meditation in Movement”. As Mayo Clinic explains, when you perform vigorous exercises you begin to focus solely on the task at hand letting go of worries.
If you’re looking for some simple beginner exercise routines check out this post by Department of Adulting: Easy Effective 10 minute Work Outs for Beginners here. The point is physical activity helps expel those uneasy stress feelings.
Get Out In Nature
Spending time in Nature is another way to reduce stress! There has been tons of recent studies performed on how walking barefoot, looking at, or being in nature helps reduce stress! I personally enjoy a quiet nature walk by myself, there’s nothing more therapeutic to me!
If you live a suburban area try checking out local parks you can walk or sit in. You could even join a garden club, or even just get outside to manage your lawn. The main point is being outside with nature is a place where you can let go of those pesky emotions!
Crafting andHobbies!
Ever thought about getting into a craft or some sorts or hobby? I find this a perfect way to reduce stress! This also a great way to focus at the task at hand, letting your worries go away! If you’re looking for a hobby I would suggest a platform like Pinterest to come up with easy beginner craft ideas to get yourself started! Maybe there’s a family member that sews, knits, or crafts, and you’ve wanted to get started! Consider asking them for beginner ideas and tips to get yourself started! Don’t be afraid to do some self research, there’s so many platforms one can learn on! Facebook groups, Pinterest, Google, Youtube, the list goes on!
Join a Group of Club
Consider joining a group or club to help you get away from stress. There are tons of Facebook Groups online doing virtual meetings that are free! If you are active within a church see what kind of church groups your organization has! You could even contemplate on starting your own if you want! Some ideas; a Book Club, Mom’s group, even an exercise club! The list is endless if you know of a few people who want to get into a hobby or activity and do not want to spend a fortune!

Great article. People underestimate the power of getting fresh air and letting the sun shine down on your face. It’s a wonderful revival.
Yes! There are now studies linked to “Forest Bathing” and “grounding” where you walk on the Earth in bare feet, it actually reduces body inflammation! Nature is truly powerful!
It truly is. You don’t know until you get outside.

Doesn’t it?! I always find my children do the best too when I get them outside, they can become a bundle of nerves if they’ve been sitting inside for too long!
